Cool stories | Init is Team Rynkeby Platinum Sponsor | 05 January

Init supports Team Rynkeby with Platinum sponsorship

to help children with critical illnesses.

Init has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the charity cycling team Team Rynkeby, who will cycle to Paris from 29 June to 6 July 2024. Team Rynkeby cycles for the benefit of children with critical illnesses.

This summer, 2,349 Team Rynkeby riders will saddle up to make the trip to Paris to raise money for children with critical illnesses. In addition to the riders, 505 service personnel participate in the project.

Init for a good cause

The funds collected support vital research in critical illnesses and supports the work of various foundations that support children affected by critical disease and their families. A large part of the money is collected via sponsorships from benevolent companies. Therefore, Init has also entered into a platinum sponsorship with the charity cycling team, which will travel to Paris from 29 June to 6 July 2023.

“Like Init, Team Rynkeby is rooted in Denmark and have strong presence across the Nordic countries. Thus, from a purely geographical perspective, it makes great sense for us to support a cause that is so close to home. But more importantly, our set of values are similar. At Init, our core philosophy revolves around putting people first and believing in the power of collaboration. We understand – just like the cyclists of Team Rynkeby – that we are stronger together. And the organisation’s dedication mirrors our belief that by uniting our strengths, we can create meaningful change.”

says Knut Akselvoll, Group CEO at Init.

More Rynkeby Teams than ever

At the Team Rynkeby Foundation, the Danish country manager, Steffen Juncker, is deeply grateful for the support and has high expectations for the charity project in the upcoming season.

It is fantastic to see that so many companies continue to get involved in our work for critically ill children and their families. We are embarking on an exciting season, where we welcome more teams in more countries, so we hope to be able to create another big collection result and help even more children with critical illness and their families,

says Steffen Juncker.

Over 22 years, Team Rynkeby has collected more than DKK 700 million for children with critical illness. For us here at Init, it makes perfect sense to support a good cause with social responsibility, teamwork and health in focus.

This year, Team Rynkeby consists of 2,349 cyclists and 505 helpers divided into 66 teams from eight countries and one international team. Six of the teams, spread across Denmark, Norway and Sweden, carry the Init logo. You can see some pictures from some of the team below.
