Automation update of utility supplier's 95 pump stations
Init has replaced dedicated controllers with PLC controllers to ensure greater flexibility and future-proofing.
SONFOR (formerly Sønderborg Forsyning) handles waste, recycling, drinking water, and wastewater in Sønderborg Municipality. The utility company focuses on efficient control of wastewater volumes, and in that context, decided to replace the control systems on 95 wastewater pump stations.
After a long-term collaboration, SONFOR asked Init to handle the programming of PLCs, panels, and SCADA systems. The utility company supplied the necessary hardware and managed the installation. Development work began in the spring, and the first stations were commissioned in June. All 95 locations were updated in just 6 months.
Init brings great expertise to the project. We had dedicated people working on the programming side, and thanks to a close partnership, we completed the entire project in a very short time. Their competencies were a decisive factor in reaching our goal and now having an updated, efficient PLC control system for the pump stations
